I still do not have a myspace account set up but most likely I will have one soon. I am amazed on how everyone is using this site and it only has been around about a year if that. Lots of my high school friends are on there, even my 13 year old cousin has an account on my space! So I guess I will get an account so I can stay in touch with friends. This is networking to the next level, but is it just a fad? All the technology we use now a days like cell phones, two way, text messages, instant messenger, blogging, personal websites and now myspace where are we going to end up? Will myspace stay for the long haul and be a part of our daily computer communications like instant messenger is today?
What ever happened to Classmates online? They have been around much longer than myspace and some how missed the boat on this one. I know they do networking to try to connect you to old high school buddies but hell with myspace I think most of my old high school buddies I know have found eachother for free and no dreaded spam emails.

It's a compulsive fad.
MySpace is a great way to reconnected with old friends from the past. I think that it is just a fad until something better takes it's place. All of these man made materials will not last forever. Cell phones are constantly upgraded with some of the most ridiculous features. I don't need a media player on my cell phone, I've got three non-plasma T.V.'s at home. Plus, since gas prices are at record high, which consumers are in demand for gigantic gas guzzling vehicles. It's those dang CEO's that are constantly upgrading ridiculous cell phones. My point is, just like upgraded cell phones, MySpace will come and MySpace will go.
